Le Ministre de la santé Benjamin HOUNKPATIN a reçu en audience le jeudi 7 juillet, 23 chirurgiens-dentistes désormais aptes à servir.

Au terme de leur périple académique en terre sénégalaise, 23 chirurgiens-dentistes ont été reçus en audience le jeudi 7 juillet 2022 par le Ministre de la santé Benjamin HOUNKPATIN. Ils sont désormais aptes à servir sur toute l’étendue du territoire national.
Au nom de ses collègues, le porte-parole de la délégation Déo-gracias HOUNYETIN a exprimé sa gratitude au Gouvernement et en particulier au ministre de la santé pour sa constante sollicitude et sa disponibilité permanente pendant tout le parcours académique. Il n’a pas manqué d’exprimer l’ardent désir du groupe d’apporter son grain de sel à l’œuvre médicale bucco-dentaire du pays. C’est alors qu’au cours de son intervention, le Ministre de la santé a exposé toutes les diligences entreprises par le Gouvernement pour faciliter leur insertion. Il a tenu à les rassurer de son engagement à conduire le processus à terme mais a aussi insisté sur la pratique professionnelle qui reste le nec le plus ultra, la condition essentielle à tout processus de spécialisation. L’autorité en charge de la santé n’a pas manqué de les exhorter à hâter le processus d’équivalence de leur diplôme ainsi que l’inscription au sein de l’ordre des chirurgiens-dentistes pour une insertion plus aisée.
Tout porte à croire que l’effort du Gouvernement de combler le déficit dans ce secteur a payé car cette pépite de jeunes médecins formés à l’Université Cheick Anta Diop de Dakar brûle d’impatience de mettre son savoir-faire au service de la santé dentaire des populations.
