(La formation et les métiers verts au centre de tous les débats)

 Du 13 au 14 juin 2024, l’hôtel Jeco de Dassa-Zoumè a raisonné au son de la 3ᵉ édition du forum Agri Talk. Organisé par le groupe de presse LE RURAL, ce forum a été une occasion parfaite pour discuter d’une large gamme de sujets ayant lien avec la formation et les emplois verts au Bénin. Les spécialistes et les acteurs de l’environnement étaient massivement au rendez-vous.

Au Bénin et dans la plupart des pays africains, le secteur de l’environnement est un secteur qui regorge d’emplois durables. L’analyse des potentialités du Bénin montre que le pays dispose d’un potentiel important pour créer de nouveaux emplois tout en améliorant la productivité et les conditions de travail existantes dans plusieurs secteurs et sous-secteurs de l’économie, y compris la biodiversité, les énergies renouvelables et l’efficacité énergétique, l’agriculture et l’agro-alimentaire, le tourisme, le recyclage et la gestion intégrée des déchets par filière. Malheureusement, ces potentialités sont encore peu exploitées. Il est clair que les métiers et les emplois verts issus de ces activités restent encore largement méconnus du grand public, notamment les jeunes, les entreprises et les structures de formation. C’est ce qui justifie le choix du thème de cette troisième édition du forum Agri-Talk. « Emplois et métiers verts : s’engager pour une transition agroécologique au Bénin ».

D’abord, « le projet Agri-Talk se veut une plateforme d’échanges et de plaidoyers autour des thématiques qui concernent l’entrepreneuriat des jeunes. Il permet d’impliquer les jeunes dans les stratégies et les politiques de développement à la base », explique le promoteur de RURAL et l’initiateur du forum, Djibril Azonsi. Le Bénin étant riche en ressources naturelles et en potentielles environnementales surtout, il se trouve à un carrefour spécial. Le secteur de l’environnement qui est une puissance énorme de la création d’emplois durables demeurant sous-exploitée et surtout méconnue particulièrement par les jeunes et les femmes, le forum Agri Talk prend donc tout son sens et son importance, selon Ayouba Yaye, Représentant de la Coopération Suisse.

À en croire le maire de Dassa, Oscar Djigbenoude, « le forum s’inscrit parfaitement dans les objectifs de la commune visant à promouvoir le développement durable et l’économie verte ». Pour lui, « l’initiative arrive à point nommé pour répondre aux enjeux cruciaux de notre époque. À travers ce forum, nous avons l’opportunité de changer les choses ».

Des communications et panels de discussions pour le changement de paradigme

Au cours de ce forum, plusieurs communications et panels de discussions ont meublé les deux jours d’activités. En effet, avant l’installation du premier panel qui a porté sur les enjeux et défis de la transition agroécologique pour le développement durable du Bénin, une communication inaugurale a été faite par le spécialiste Henri Totin, Directeur exécutif de l’ONG JEVEV. Portant sur le thème principal du forum, cette communication a permis aux participants d’avoir une vision globale de toutes les opportunités qu’offre le domaine vert au Bénin.

En partant des interventions du projet ProFoP/GIZ en matière de formation professionnelle dans les métiers verts au Bénin, ce forum a connu un deuxième panel qui a porté sur les opportunités et débouchés pour les jeunes du Bénin dans le domaine de la formation et des emplois verts. Ce fût un moment d’échanges pointus où les panélistes ont su combler les attentes des participants. Modéré par le journaliste Jean-Baptiste Hontonnou, ce panel a été animé par Gboyou Sègla, Conseiller Technique au niveau du FroFOP, un projet de la coopération allemande et cofinancé par l’Union européenne, Séraphin Adjinda, chef de l’antenne départementale des Collines et Ghislain Mahuton, représentant du Réseau Béninois du Parlement Mondial de la Jeunesse pour l’Eau.

Par ailleurs, le forum a connu également d’autres panels. Animés respectivement par Opportune Ahitcheme et Ruth Edoh, toutes deux journalistes, les deux panels de la deuxième journée du forum ont porté sur « le numérique en tant qu’alternative pour la création des emplois verts » et « l’agroécologie ou l’agriculture durable dans le contexte actuel d’insécurité alimentaire ».

Visite de site et exposition de produits agroécologiques

Plusieurs autres moments ont rendu unique cette troisième édition du forum Agri Talk. À la suite des panels et d’autres communications ainsi que de la projection d’un film documentaire par Afrikan Parks, de la visite des stands et des séances B2B, les participants se sont déplacés vers le site de production intensive de piment à Itagui. Installé grâce à l’accompagnement du Programme Approche communal pour le Marché Agricole (ACMA), ce site s’étend sur une superficie de 19 hectares et est géré majoritairement par les femmes regroupées au sein des coopératives. Les visiteurs ont été sidérés par les réalisations sur ce site. « On a vu dans le magasin beaucoup d’intrants bio. C’est vraiment encourageant », laisse entendre Dr Delphine Bodjrènou, membre de l’OBEPAB. Comme tous les autres participants, Cyrius Koudjetossi pense que ce site est un vrai chef-d’œuvre qu’il faut soutenir davantage.

Cette édition du forum Agri Talk prend donc fin sur une note de satisfaction. Les organisateurs ont promis apporter d’autres innovations et touches particulières aux prochaines éditions qui ne vont pas tarder à venir.
